After a big build up, the pre season schedule has been released for Leeds and first up is the traditional fixture against Farsley AFC at Throstle Nest. We will then travel to a training camp in the mountainous country of Slovenia for ten days playing three fixtures against local opposition. Leeds have been to this region before and have held a training camp in neighbouring Slovakia, while in Slovenia, Leeds will face FC Domzale and two other local sides.
On our return to England we will face Walsall, against whom Gary McSheffrey scored his only goal in an unproductive loan spell, and Stevenage, where Robbie Rogers played on loan before being released in January, before rounding off our preparation when we welcome Bundesliga club FC Nurnberg, who finished a credible 10th place and have former Southampton and Spurs defender Tomas Pekhart amongst their ranks, to Elland Road on July 27th. The full first team schedule reads as follows,
Saturday July 6: Farsley AFC at Throstle Nest - 3pm KO
Wednesday July 10: TBC at FC Mura Stadium - 6:30pm KO
Saturday July 13: FC Domzale at Domzale Sports Park - 7:45pm KO
Tuesday July 16: TBC at FC Mura Stadium - 6:30pm KO
Saturday July 20: Walsall at Banks's Stadium - 3pm KO
Tuesday July 23: Stevenage FC at The Lamex Stadium - 7:45pm KO
Saturday July 27: FC Nurnberg at Elland Road - 3pm KO
